Question: Why do a lot of balconies and terraces require renovation yet after a few years?

Answer: More and more owners of houses find out that exterior tiles on balconies, terraces and stairs are nearly an unsolvable problem. The blame is  often put on the tilers. However  this may be the case in the minority of cases. Even the best tiler doesn`t manage to  lay a balcony or a terrace that stands for decades.

Question: What is the reason that more and more buildings break down in less time?

Answer: The main reason are the different temperatures in our latitudes and therefore the materials extend differently. We have got a material heating of more than + 80°C in summer and – 20°C or 30°C in winter. Also the day and night differences move the materials differently. Due to such differences of temperature you can`t impede that micro-fine or millimeter cracks are formed through which wetness can flow. Only because of the missing extension of the mortar joint compared to the material of the tile.
